Where engagements start

Find out what is actually wrong

Fixed scope, fixed duration, a written findings report and a prioritized remediation plan. Delivered by the engineers who can then execute it, which is the part most assessments leave to someone else.

Request an assessment
Fixed scope  ·  No open-ended discovery
Written findings  ·  Yours to keep either way
2 to 3 weeks  ·  Remote, U.S. nationwide

Most assessments end with a roadmap and a handshake. The firm that scored your environment cannot fix what it found, so the report goes to someone else, and half the context is lost in the handover. Every assessment below is scoped by the engineer who would do the remediation. You are free to take the findings elsewhere, and the report is written so that you can.

Group 01

Database assessments

What is happening inside the estate today, measured rather than assumed. Each one produces evidence you can act on, budget against, or take to a board.

2 weeks

Database health check

A full review of configuration, performance, backup integrity, and operational risk across the estate. Where the environment is fragile, where it is over-provisioned, and what would break first under load.

You receive
  • Findings report with severity ranking
  • Backup and recovery verification, actually tested
  • Top ten remediation items with effort estimates

Database security and compliance assessment

The estate measured against the control set that applies to it, whether that is the DoD Database SRG, FedRAMP, HIPAA, SOX or SOC 2. Access control, encryption posture, audit logging, and the gaps an assessor will find before they find them.

You receive
  • Control-by-control finding status
  • Remediation written as infrastructure as code, not as advice
  • Evidence package suitable for an audit or ATO review

Scalability and capacity assessment

Whether the platform survives the growth already forecast. Load characteristics, contention points, index and query behaviour under projected volume, and the specific ceiling the current design hits.

You receive
  • Current ceiling identified with the evidence behind it
  • Bottleneck analysis by workload, not by server
  • Scaling options with cost implications for each

Cloud and migration assessments

Before a migration, and after one. Both are moments where an outside read is worth more than an internal estimate, because the people who built it cannot see it plainly.

2 weeks

Cloud cost and right-sizing review

Where the spend actually goes, what is running that nobody uses, and which instance and storage decisions are costing money for no return. The findings usually pay for the engagement several times over.

You receive
  • Line-item spend analysis by workload
  • Right-sizing recommendations with dollar figures
  • Reserved capacity and commitment modelling

Migration readiness assessment

What it will actually take to move the estate, based on more than a hundred migrations delivered without data loss. Dependency mapping, target architecture, sequencing, and the parts that will be difficult.

You receive
  • Dependency and coupling map of the current estate
  • Target architecture with rehost, replatform and refactor calls made
  • Sequenced plan with cutover risk identified per workload

Cloud architecture advisory

Cross-cloud tradeoff analysis, platform selection, and target architecture design, grounded in hands-on delivery across all four government clouds rather than in vendor documentation. Engaged by the day or as a standing advisory arrangement.

Typically used for
  • Platform selection decisions with real money behind them
  • Second opinion on an architecture already drafted
  • Design review before a program commits

AI data readiness Most requested

Almost every AI initiative that stalls, stalls on the data underneath it. This is the assessment that finds out whether yours will, and what it would take to fix.

2 to 3 weeks

AI data readiness and evidence assessment

Not a maturity score against a generic model. Your data measured against what a specific AI use case actually requires, and against what an auditor, an authorizing official or a general counsel will ask before it reaches production.

You receive
  • Lineage and provenance gaps mapped per source
  • Quality, completeness and freshness measured, not estimated
  • Retention, access control and audit posture against the applicable frame
  • Remediation plan sequenced by what blocks production first

Retrieval and RAG architecture review

For teams already building. Whether the retrieval layer is returning what it should, why grounding is failing, and where the embedding, chunking or index strategy is working against the use case.

You receive
  • Retrieval quality measured against a held-out set
  • Chunking and embedding strategy review
  • Vector store configuration and index tuning findings

Paid discovery

For problems too large or too undefined to scope from the outside. A short paid engagement that produces a written statement of work, an architecture, and a fixed price, with the fee credited against delivery if you proceed.

You receive
  • Defined scope and written statement of work
  • Target architecture and delivery plan
  • Fixed price, credited against the build if you proceed

Start with the smallest thing that tells you something true

An assessment is the cheapest way to find out whether we are the right firm and whether the problem is what you think it is. Fixed scope, fixed duration, and the findings are yours regardless of what happens next.
